Protective covers - rubber pair for the wiring harness connectors of an Öhlins fork's electronic adjuster.
Are your old protective covers faded, torn, or porous?
There is no need for a new wiring harness.
Please replace your protective covers before water accumulates in the rubber shaft and damages your high-quality suspension.
Of course, it's also for aesthetic reasons. The new protective covers look great.
(( Please check before purchasing whether your model uses the same protective covers.
If your currently installed protective covers are smooth and do not have a ribbed surface, then these will not fit. ))
There are two ways to replace the protective covers.
1.) Remove the old protective cover. Use needle-nose pliers to slightly stretch the new protective cover from the side with the small opening. At the same time, insert the connector into the cover through the pliers' opening. It is a bit fiddly, but doable.
2.) Take a photo of the wires going into the connector and unpin the wires from the connector. Guide the wire through the protective cover and reconnect the wire to the connector on the other side. Photos are always helpful for this.
