Protective covers - rubber pair for the wiring harness connectors of the electronic adjusters on an Öhlins fork.
Are your old protective covers faded, torn, and porous?
There is no need for a new wiring harness.
Please replace your protective covers before water collects in the rubber shaft and damages your high-quality suspension.
Of course, there is also the aesthetic aspect. The new protective covers look great.
There are two ways to replace the protective covers.
1.) Remove the old protective cover. Using needle-nose pliers, slightly spread the new protective cover from the side with the small opening. Simultaneously, guide the connector through the plier opening into the cover. It is a bit fiddly, but doable.
2.) Take a photo of the wires leading into the connector and unpin the wires from the connector. Guide the wire through the protective cover and reconnect the wire to the connector on the other side. Photos are always helpful here.
