Protective sleeves - rubber pair for the wiring harness connectors of the electronic adjusters on an Öhlins fork.
Are your old protective sleeves faded, torn, and porous?
There is no need for a new wiring harness.
Please replace your protective sleeves before water gets into the rubber shaft and damages your high-quality suspension.
Of course, also for aesthetic reasons. The new protective sleeves look great.
(( Please check before purchasing whether your model uses the same protective sleeves.
If your currently installed protective sleeves are smooth and do not have a ribbed surface, they will not fit. ))
There are two ways to replace the protective sleeves here.
1.) Remove the old protective sleeve. Spread the new protective sleeve slightly from the side of the small opening using needle-nose pliers. At the same time, insert the connector through the plier opening into the sleeve. It is a bit fiddly, but doable.
2.) Photograph the cables going into the connector and unpin the cables from the connector. Guide the cable through the protective sleeve and re-attach the connector to the cable on the other side. Photos are always helpful for this.
