Protective covers - rubber pair for the wiring harness connectors of the electronic adjusters on an Öhlins fork.
Are your old protective covers faded, torn, and porous?
There is no need for a new wiring harness.
Please replace your protective covers before water collects in the rubber shaft and damages your high-quality suspension.
Of course, also for aesthetic reasons. The new protective covers look great.
(( Please check before purchasing whether your model uses the same protective covers.
If your currently installed protective covers are smooth and do not have a ribbed surface, then these will not fit. ))
There are two ways to replace the protective covers.
1.) Remove the old protective cover. Using needle-nose pliers, slightly stretch the new protective cover from the side with the smaller opening. At the same time, guide the connector through the pliers' opening into the cover. It is a bit fiddly but manageable.
2.) Take a picture of the wires entering the connector and unpin the wires from the connector. Route the cable through the protective cover and re-attach the connector on the other side. Photos are always helpful here.
