Protective covers - rubber pair for the wiring harness connectors of the electronic adjusters on an Öhlins fork.
Are your old protective covers faded, torn, or brittle?
You don't need a new wiring harness.
Please replace your protective covers before water collects in the rubber shaft and damages your high-quality suspension.
Of course, there is also the aesthetic reason. The new protective covers look great.
There are two ways to replace the protective covers here.
1.) Remove the old protective cover. Use needle-nose pliers to slightly stretch the new protective cover from the side of the small opening. At the same time, insert the connector through the plier opening into the cover. It is a bit fiddly, but doable.
2.) Take a photo of the wires leading into the connector and unpin the wires from the connector. Route the cable through the protective cover and reconnect the cable to the connector on the other side. Photos are always helpful for this.
